ExGo

Advanced extinguishing control
Overview

ExGo provides a simple, dependable solution to complex fire protection problems in high-risk sites. The gas suppression system works by reducing oxygen content to extinguish a fire, avoiding expensive water damage.

Combining precision engineering with flexible design options and ease of use, ExGo is compatible with a range of detection devices to meet the needs of your site.

The gas suppression system can be used standalone or has a number of on-board programmable inputs and outputs for interfacing with fire systems or third-party building management systems.

ExGo is suitable for almost all single-flooding area applications. The range includes repeaters so that system status can be seen inside and outside a protected area. Among its versatile range of control options are ‘hold’ and ‘abort’ buttons that allow the gas release to be paused or cancelled as required.

ExGo is approved to EN12094-1 and EN54 Parts 2, 4 and 13.

BIM objects for ExGo are available on NBS Source.

An intelligent fire-detection system from Advanced is installed at the South African head office of leading cosmetics manufacturer, Revlon.

Situated in South Africa’s Gauteng province, Revlon’s headquarters comprises an administration building, warehousing facility and manufacturing plant. With area usage varying across this large-scale site, the end user required that there be immediate identification of the location of any alarm activations An intelligent fire-detection system that uses each device’s unique address to automatically identify the location of the alarm condition was therefore specified.

The single-loop MxPro 5 fire panel from Advanced was installed alongside eight Fire Beam reflective optical beam detectors, 32 Apollo optical detectors, eight Discovery manual call points and 10 Apollo sounder beacons.

The MxPro 5 is the unbeatable multiprotocol fire system. Approved to EN54-2, 4 and 13, it offers four protocols – Apollo, Argus, Hochiki and Nittan – and a completely open installer network that benefits from free training and technical support. Panels can be used in single-loop, single-panel format or easily configured into high-speed networks of up to 200-panels covering huge areas. MxPro 5 panels are backwards compatible with existing MxPro 4 networks and include a host of features including AlarmCalm for complete false-alarm management and reduction.

Axis EN intelligent fire systems from Advanced were selected to protect critical infrastructure along a 1,600km Sudanese oil pipeline.

Control buildings and pumping stations along the pipeline, which plays an important part in the country’s infrastructure, are protected by Axis EN and ExGo extinguishant control panels.

The Sudanese Petroleum Pipeline Company commissioned a fire protection and suppression control right along the double pipeline, which runs 800km from Khartoum, the country’s capital, to Port Sudan. Advanced products were selected for their reputation for quality, ease-of-use and reliability.

Axis EN is Advanced’s EN54 2, 4 and 13 approved fire system and offers leading performance and flexibility. It is available in 1-8 loop formats as standard, and supports up to 240 devices per loop. ExGo is Advanced’s extinguishant and suppression control system, which has been developed specifically for sensitive and strategic assets such as server rooms, historic and cultural attractions and control rooms.
